The Springbar Traveler 5 Tent - High Quality For Four Seasons

Springbar claims their tents as the best tent made in america. Does the Traveler 5 model live up to the standard?

After deciding to upgrade from the less expensive and lower quality tents to a high quality four season tent I knew I would have to spend a little more money but I was looking for quality. I wanted something that was heavy duty, reliable, but still only requires one person for setup. I wasn't worried about the tent being light weight since most of my camping is done at campsites that a truck can get close to. Springbar Traveler 5I was looking for a 4-5 person tent or slightly larger. I decided to go with a high quality Springbar tent. Springbar has a very good reputation for durable high quality tents. Their Traveler 5 model sleeps 4-5 people and is just right for a small family. They have larger tents if needed. The Traveler 5 model measures ten feet by ten feet and has plenty of room for you to stand at full height anywhere in the tent. You have one door with three windows. The fabric of the tent is 100% cotton canvas which is very water resistant. The flooring material is very durable which prevents punctures. The hardware used is very strong and very high in quality. My favorite part of this tent is how easy it is to setup by just one person. The tent comes with high quality steel tent stakes, removable gear organizers, and depending on if there is a deal you can also get a canvas door mat and ground cloth.

I've put this tent to the test over the past year and have not been disappointed. From camping in a hot sandy desert to spending cold nights in the middle of frozen lake ice fishing. The picture here is from camping on a frozen lake. I was able to pound the high quality tent stakes into the three foot thick ice to secure the tent. In the freezing temperatures the cotton canvas holds the heat in very well. When inside you can't even tell there is a blizzard on the other side of the tent wall. In the hot desert weather the tent walls breathe very well to keep you comfortable.

Springbar tents have been around for over 60 years so they know their stuff. All of their tents are manufactured in Salt Lake City, Utah. So in the heart of the west you can bet the locals put them to the test. Once you buy one of these tents you probably won't ever have to replace it.
